I just feel really lucky to be honest
0:07
I mean, like I said, I never thought that this show and this specific production of it was going to come back at a point when I'd be able to play this part
0:18
So I just, yeah, I feel so lucky to be going to do it
0:22
Rehearsals are always the way of part. Oh yeah. Rehearsals are like 12 hours a day
0:29
hours a day. And you're doing it like 14 times over and over and when you would only do it once
0:34
on the night. Exactly. And you're ramming information in your head and you're going home thinking
0:40
about it and then when you open you've probably got about five or six shows where you're still
0:44
thinking. Then after that it becomes fun. I think the tech for this is going to be a lot
0:50
Tech is going to be. The tech because it's a lot of sets, a lot of costumes and wigs and craziness
0:59
It's going to be a magnificent production in a magnificent theatre. And, you know, I'm one of the cogs within it
1:06
I'm not carrying the whole thing, thank God. But when you're on stage, you are the musical at that point
1:14
You know, whichever performance on stage at that particular point, you are the show. So, no, I'm thrilled
1:19
It's not something I would ever have thought I'd be doing or ever considered doing
1:23
but when they offered it to me, I looked at it and thought, yeah, okay. it um i mean a lot of the time when i improvising on stage i playing different parts anyway as they come up So it not too much of a stretch for me to be playing a character although people haven on television seen me do that
1:38
But it's something I'm very comfortable with. I mean, people are still talking about we don't try and get women in theatre
1:43
They say there's no point you're never doing that again. It was never again is what they kept saying to me
1:49
So now I'm looking forward to it immensely. There are moments, you know, and I have got a song with Michael, but I couldn't be more experienced
1:56
with his hands and doing a direct with Michael Ford. So, I'm sure people get me through it
2:04
I did it at a dinner theater, and then that was like in Florida somewhere
2:10
It's like where all the snowbirds come down from their respective places
2:14
They come to Florida, and they put on shows, and they have dinner before. It's so rinky-dick, but it's so cool because I got so much of my training from there
2:23
and I played a dynamite, and I was like, oh, I'll play Motor Mouth in 20 years
2:26
And then here you are. And here she is. There is. I actually love I can hear the bells
2:34
I love, I mean, now I'm sitting next to like a comedy legend
2:38
but I actually do love doing a bit of comedy and I think that is the one that has the most room to kind of like act
2:44
and it's all that kind of like dream sequence and the staging is amazing for it
2:49
So yeah, I can't wait to do that. So it's going to be really cool
