Beetlejuice is about a couple who passes away and a new family moves into their old house

Teenager Lydia Dietz, greatly affected by the death of her mother and misunderstood by both her father and his new girlfriend

moves into a peaceful house in the suburbs. But with one catch, the house is being haunted by three ghosts

Unlike regular mortals, Lydia can see the dead. All three ghosts have one goal in common, to get the family out of the house

So Lydia and the couple join forces with Beetlejuice to help get the couple's house back

Beetlejuice has something else in mind too He needs a living person to say his name three times so that every living person can see and hear him Lydia says Beetlejuice name three times

It unleashes the netherworld and gives her hope of finding her dead mom

Yes, I've seen the movie many times and I really like it. I had watched the movie Beetlejuice prior to seeing the musical because my parents were educating me on 80s culture

I have actually seen only about 20 minutes of the Beetlejuice movie

I turned it off because it was a bit too scary for me. However, the musical was not

It was better than the movie in every way. I love all the characters, but I think my favorite would have to be Lydia

because, well, she's the closest to my age in the show. My favorite character was Lydia Dietz, played by Sophia Ann Caruso

The songs she sings are my favorites and my favorites to sing

And she could see the dead. Tell me that's not cool. My favorite character in Beetlejuice was, in fact, Beetlejuice

played by Alex Brightman for many reasons. He's so funny that almost everything he says

even if it not supposed to be a joke is funny I honestly love all the songs Like I listened to all the songs so many times My favorite song was Dead Mom sung by Sophia Ann Caruso

because it defies musical theater standards by being a cross between pop, rock, and theater

Hey, mom, dead mom, I need a little help here. I'm probably talking to myself here

But tell mom I've got to ask. That Beautiful Sound is my favorite song from Beetlejuice

I think it's more in the style of a classic Broadway song

than most of the other songs in the show. That beautiful sound

The set was beyond belief. From the moment I walked in the theater

I felt like I was in a haunted house. One of my favorite pieces

was the fact that there were three different versions of the house

So one would go on and then it would move back and another one would come on

The moral of the story was enjoy life while you have it because some others are not as fortunate I think the moral of Beetlejuice is to be careful what you wish for The moral of the story is to not say the B word Beetlejuice

I think other kids would love Beetlejuice. I mean, really, who wouldn't? If you've seen the movie

it's really cool to enjoy because it's like a movie coming to life, which is really fun

but there's a lot more adult humor in the musical than in the movie

Because there are a few dirty jokes, I would recommend it for ages 12 and up

but anyone can enjoy the magic of a great show like Beetlejuice
