Hello, my name is Charles and I am 9
0:03
My name is Isabella Burke. I'm 12 years old. I'm Ty Sandu and I'm 10 years old
0:08
and I got to see the Off-Broadway show, Blue Man Group. The Blue Man Group doesn't really have a specific plot
0:38
but is more like a series of unusual sketches. It's everywhere. It's in Las Vegas, it's in Los Angeles, it's in Chicago
0:47
and of course here in New York. Blue Man Group is about expressing yourself without words
0:53
These three blue men don't talk at all through the show, but they communicate with paints and rhythms and sounds
1:01
and they also do some painting. They do amazing drum work. It sounds weird
1:07
It sounded weird to me too, but they convey it in a way that's so convincing
1:14
that they don't need words. Not really, no. Blue Man Group is very unique
1:26
It's not like any other show I've seen. It has such a unique blend of different styles
1:33
And they really interact with the audience. They climb through the chairs
1:37
They also throw paint at each other, which that's not in every Broadway show
1:42
I always thought Blue Man Group was about just drumming and serious people
1:48
but I never thought it was comedy. And they throw food at the audience
1:53
It's basically just like itself and not like anything else I have ever seen or probably will ever see
2:00
It's really a spectacular show, but very different. The lights in Blue Man Group were amazing
2:09
There were these weird colorful things floating from the ceiling, and the lights were going all crazy
2:16
I loved when the paper, the toilet paper was just flying. Because the lights are coming back on and off like every second
2:26
It was really cool. There was all this tissue coming at you, and you really couldn't see
2:32
I almost felt like I was buried in toilet paper. I dived in it and started swimming
2:39
The paints were all being thrown at each of the blue men
2:42
And if you're in the first three rows, you have to wear ponchos so you won't get splashed by paint
2:47
Another thing they do is they give a lot of stuff to the audience
2:53
They send a lot of stuff flying, and whoever catches it, catches it and gets to keep it
2:59
All the colors together really made the show beautiful. And the blue men, they were a really cool shade of blue
3:09
I think it would be very weird to be all blue for a day
3:14
I think it might be kind of fun because I like the color blue
3:18
And why not? A good thing is that you'd be very noticeable
3:22
Because then everyone would start looking at you on the subways and the streets
3:26
and you would have to explain why you were blue. But if you were just born blue, how would you know
3:31
Maybe people would laugh. Maybe it would feel good to be a different color
3:36
I like when you're different and you walk around and everyone's kind of looking at you like
3:42
hmm, he's different. Maybe you would like being the different color and want to stay the different color
3:48
I think I should try it sometime. I think other kids would definitely enjoy Blue Man Group
3:57
Blue Man Group is definitely a show for kids. Every skit has something kid-friendly about it
4:04
and it would make kids laugh. It would even make kids wonder
4:07
Like the paint thing, it would just be like, how do they do that
4:13
The kids will love the fun lighting and colors. It's good stuff
4:21
Energizing. Dazzling. True blue. See what I did there? Dare to see Blue Man Group tonight
