The Illusionists are back on Broadway this holiday season with their brand new show called Magic of the Holidays

which will run through January 5th, and we drop by the Neil Simon Theatre to meet the company

and give you a sneak peek at this year's magic and illusions. Welcome to Broadway. How excited are you

Thank you. Finally, someone welcomes me to Broadway. I am the most excited man in the whole of Broadway at the minute

So I love theatre. It's my favourite thing in the world, and I love magic. and I saved up when I was a student to come into New York to see a Broadway show

So I was 20 years old and I came to Broadway for the first time and I saw Hairspray at the Neil Simon Theatre

and now I'm at the Neil Simon Theatre performing on a Broadway show

It's incredible. It's the holidays, so everyone's filled with holiday cheer and this show is full of it

And then we just constantly blow people away with things that they never thought would be possible

People always think the show is funnier than they ever thought it would be

So there's people laughing, they're rolling in the aisles, they're going, oh my goodness, this is amazing

It's so wonderful, and you just watch jaws drop and people leap to their feet

And to be on stage watching that and having created that, So I feel like magic

There is no language barrier. People understand. They are looking. It's a visual thing

So everyone can understand. No matter what age, where you're from, people understand magic

So it amazing to see that here on Broadway because whatever I do people will applause and people will know what I doing they love it I think we live in a time when we bombarded by so much information technology and you know a few years ago the technology we had carry in our pockets now

would be magic to people. So I think the fact that the answer to anything is only a click

or a tap away these days. So I think now more than ever people have that guttural need to

feel wonder, to feel something they can't explain. And so that's why I think magic's

more popular now than it's ever been. They've really stepped up the game in Christmasing up the show

So it's, you know, the costumes and the music and the characters are a little different

And it's all about, you know, having a great family show that everyone can enjoy

I get drunk Now I do this with nothing in my sleeves

Except for the extra coaster I'm in that Absolutely nothing to hide

No hidden beers No hidden glasses Nothing at all Except for that one

This show is for everyone There's really something in this show for every single person

I really think that people like you said they're affected magic is something

that will affect you it's just it's something that you can't really control

when you see a magic trick something really powerful and magical you can't help but

feel whatever it is that you feel I think it's different for everyone but I think it's

a very positive beautiful thing and to be able to be here

and do it for so many people coming through these doors is quite wonderful yeah
