Meet the New Stars of FROZEN on Broadway- Kurtz, Renee & McCartan!

Disney's hit musical Frozen is getting ready to celebrate its second anniversary at the St. James Theatre

And I caught up with the new Anna, Elsa and Hans here at the legendary Sardis

Please welcome Sierra Renee, Mackenzie Kurtz and Ryan McCartney. What's it like being a part of the Disney family

It's amazing. I mean, they really take care of you. And it's a big family. There's so many people

and they're all working towards a similar goal, you know, which is just to tell these really fun, inspiring stories

especially this one is very empowering for women, and to tell them well and with a great deal of excellence

What's it like sharing the stage with Mackenzie? She's lovely. I call her my little nugget

No, but I mean, really, she's very, very talented. I mean, she's 23, just moved to the city

This is her first gig here, which is incredible. But she's very giving as an actor, very generous

And I think we click very well. So it been fun getting to play with her and the different scenes that we have together Just singing this beautiful score by the Lopez Yeah oh my well I mean we all know they very

genius. They've done a great job and we have the new song now I Can't Lose You in the second act

which is so beautiful and really helps to support the narrative that these two sisters really love

each other and have this deep connection even though they've been separated you know by

the circumstances. I think it's really beautiful and moving. What went through your mind the first

time you saw the marquee? Oh, I cried. I mean, it was a very emotional moment and I just feel so

lucky and blessed and it's just been amazing. Yeah. There really aren't words, are there

No, truly. I think about it even now and I still am just floored by how incredible this experience

has been and what a whirlwind it's been too. So, you know, the movie Frozen came out first. You

You probably saw that and you're like, oh my gosh, then they turned it into a musical. Did you ever see yourself like right away saying, I would love to do that

Oh, absolutely. I mean I fell in love with the movie and the musical and it was something that I always you know hope for And so it a total dream come true for sure Sharing the stage with Ciara what is that like It amazing She is a force and just so talented so kind

I couldn't have asked for a better person to do this alongside with for my first go-around

She's incredible. And just being a part of the Disney family, no one does it better than Disney, what is that like

It's amazing. It truly is a family and everyone is so supportive and kind and just cheering you on

And it's been so, so nice to be part of this community already. Let's talk about being part of the Disney family. No one does it better than Disney

So what's it like? I mean, yeah, it's hard to do an interview about it

It's hard to actually put it to words and I'm good with words. I like words a lot, but like it's hard

because, I mean it's like trying to describe a magic trick because you don't actually know

how it happened, you just know that it made you feel something that's what Disney is. You don't really know

how they're pulling the puppet strings, you don't really know how they're making the magic happen

you don't really know why you're weeping but you know that you are and like to be a part of that ecosystem of like theatrical brilliance and of Disney magic is so cool

Mackenzie Kurtz and I, we actually got a very interesting beginning to all of this because we did the Junior Theater Festival together

We were guests of Disney to sort of showcase the new Frozen for the first time

And so we, you know, created this, like, inseparable bond right away. And it's like, oh, my God, fantastic

Like I already have a buddy in the cast. What could get better than this? Sierra could get better than this because then she comes in

She's fierce. She's amazing. She's nailing it. Such a good talent. Like so professional

So fun to watch. And then it's like, wow, what could get better than this? Then you meet the rest of the cast

Dude, I'm telling you, everyone is good. Like we're a bunch of theater queens

We love our drama. Okay. No drama in this building. Everyone is just nice

Everyone is there to just do the work. it's it's it's i mean i know it sounds crazy but it's like that magical disney energy has like

gotten us too you know and everyone is just like smiling and having a good time you feel it on

stage together you can tell the audience feels it too people have said that to me when i'm out

signing at the end like it just looks like you're all having so much fun because we are
