The phenomenon, Rock of Ages, is returning to New York with their 10th anniversary production here at New World Stages

beginning on June 19th, and we drop by to meet the company and bring you a sneak peek

Don't get better Wait a minute! This is the 10th anniversary production

You're on the original set. It's a crazy deja vu. It feels very weird, but it's super exciting

and different in a way because we have this new cast with a couple of our old-time favorites

and Mitch is going to kill me if he thinks I just called them old. It's thrilling. It's like looking at the material again with fresh eyes

you know, adding some new stuff to keep it fresh and throw in some Easter eggs

We had so many Rock of Ages fans that it just came again and again and again. So I'm excited to see what their reaction is to the new stuff that we've got in the show

I seem to do this show every two and a half years or so, but it's been long enough to kind of come back

and kind of reimagine the way I approaching the material So it oddly easier than it was even though I turned 40 in November and when I was cast I was 29 I think I officially the Ted Neely of Rock of Ages

I'll be doing this when I'm 75, probably. It's cool

I'm a fan. I'm a fan. I've spent some time in L.A., and this looks a lot like the rainbow in L.A., which is really one of my favorite bars

So it's very, very funny being on there. It's a very chewable set, and the role I have gets to just climb

literally climb over here. I make love to that banister right there

I'm all over the set, so I really get to, like, chew the set. So it's exciting

It's very exciting. And it's my bar, too, so thank you. Thank you for grinding on my banister

I really appreciate that. I make a mess in this bar. Do you know how crazy it's going to be once you get these diehard Rock of Ages fans in here

I mean, get, yeah, yeah. We're going to be in the crossroads. They are the best

I'm excited. I've heard about them. I've heard people hundreds of times have seen the show singing along

Oh, yeah. I mean there people and I been doing this show for a long time and there are people who have seen this show more times than I done it Oh yeah That best They the best I mean they are the lifeblood of this show I mean because the audience is very much the last missing character in this show

And our fans are the best fans on Broadway. There was something so pure and innocent about Rock of Ages when we were first doing it

Like, it was so silly. It was so debaucherous. It was so out there and wild

And to come back ten years later realizing, oh, now is the time where we really need permission to have a good time

and to celebrate it and kind of be united in our desire to play and celebrate together

Come on baby, come on over. Let me be the one to show you

We have a lot of alumni in this cast, which has been super cool to kind of see

to work with them, especially Mitch, who's been with it since the inception

But yeah, we're brand new. Yeah, yeah. I never even seen the show before actually Yeah Well we just did a little 54 Below reunion concert And I so happy we did it because The energy in that room When that concert started

I was like oh this is Rock of Ages This is what everyone's been talking about Just energy coming at you from the audience

They're a whole other character They're part of the show It is a wave of energy

People singing along It gets a little rowdy And it amps us up too

It's a rock show and it's amazing I know some Easter eggs been added in for the diehard fans

What are you offering to the people who love your show? Oh, well, I mean, they're..

You're not giving anything away. There are jokes. We got new jokes. It's been, you know, and plus I've got Mitch Jarvis back

So it's, you know, like, that's like a joke machine. So, yeah, we've just spruced it up

If you liked the show before, it's your show. But there's, yeah, I think we've got some good ones
