There was a group of us after the Women's March and a lot of stuff that's happening that felt strongly that we needed to do something as an agency
0:11
Especially with our affiliation with Broadway and how much we all care about the community
0:16
So we sort of connected with Diana, you know, one of the marketing directors, and she told us about this project she did with some of our Broadway clients called Sing for Hope
0:25
Sing for Hope kind of operates in two ways. Sing for Hope acts as an artist's sort of peace corps
0:31
We work with anybody who believes that art can make a difference in the community
0:35
And at the same time bringing art to everybody in under-resourced schools, healthcare facilities
0:40
veteran centers or dementia centers, and it all starts with designing a piano
0:45
So we just thought, well that's the perfect fit. Of course we're going to do this. And so, you know, we got a group together and we went one Friday and we mod-podged
0:53
It funny how when you confronted with the reality of a piano versus the intellectual conception of a piano how much larger it seems We wanted to do something that was evergreen We didn want to do something that was tied specifically to any of our clients or shows or any particular experience one of us had
1:08
The theme is kind of the lights of Broadway. And so it's just a grid of, I think
1:16
four or five different colored dots. It was a very messy, fun, chaotic couple of hours for us
1:24
to sort of interact in a way that we don't normally get interact here at the office
1:28
Sing for Hope brings the arts and culture to people who don't always have
1:34
the opportunity to find that in their lives. It's great that Sing for Hope provides these programs
1:40
and gives these kids something to really put their hearts into, you know
1:44
and people in hospitals, you know, they perform for people who are
1:47
bedridden. I hope people touch it, play with it, examine it, take pictures with it, but mostly
1:54
play it. Right. Selfies. Yeah. We hope there's lots of selfies
